I bought these as part of a Spa Day surprise treat for my wife. I placed one in the shower on the opposite side of the drain from where most of the water runs to the drain. I asked her if she liked it and she said "loved it but it was gone so fast". We tried a different one (Lavender) yesterday and placed it closer to the shower head wall (figuring the water will be spraying away from it). It released a strong (but not too strong) lavender scent and didn't break down too quickly... but was looking like it would outlast our shower. When we were close to done, we just kicked it closer to the drain and it washed away our stress and vanished. Bottom line: These things dissolve quickly if exposed to too much constant water. Placement is key and you may want to take a shower without using one for the first time and look where the water hits most/least and position accordingly. Most important, make sure you're getting the amount of scent you want and if you're almost done and there's still half a steamer left, pull it to the drain and it will break down real fast. Overall, love these and they are so well packaged that you could include these in gift baskets.
