Though it shows that one bottle is for 83-loads. . . .that’s based upon a small load. For a large load, you have to use two “squirts”, so you’ll get half as many loads. There is a “unique” cap on this bottle. You squeeze the bottle. . . and it will stop automatically. I was really wondering if that was going to work. . .. But it does. So for a small load you squeeze it once. For a large load, you squeeze it twice. Super easy. You’ll be amazed at how little of the liquid comes out of the bottle. This detergent is super concentrated. One thing to not. . . There are virtually NO suds! None! I have a front-load machine, and that can be an issue with some brands of detergent. I usually use Persil laundry detergent, and there’s only a light amount of suds. But there are NO suds with Swash. One thing that makes the “no suds” an extra bonus is. . . If you’re hand-washing, you only have to use a teaspoon or so of detergent. Though there were suds to begin with. . They quickly went away. So this detergent works great for hand-washing. To be honest, I don’t have super-soiled laundry. I don’t have kids with grass-stained jeans and such. But I can say for my laundry, with just moderate soiling, this detergent works just fine.
