The negative reviews prove the series’ thesis
There’s been a lot of buzz about this series in the LulaVerse, and they’re coming to mass report & review. I understand why they’re upset. If a massive platform made a docuseries about something I’ve poured massive amounts of money into and potentially ruined myself for, I wouldn’t want to see it. I wouldn’t want to have to face that laid out in a way that is objective, because it wouldn’t feel objective it would feel targeted. It would feel like this documentary is calling me and people like me stupid or naive or worse, villains. I wouldn’t want to feel that way, so I’d lie about watching it, give it one star, and tell everyone I know that it’s full of lies and not what MY company is like. That message is being reinforced from their Cult-like leadership and structure, so all the people who are still in the company hear is an echo chamber about how this is fake, a lie by jealous people who couldn’t hack it and be successful, and has malicious intent. So they’re mass negative reviewing. I don’t know if this documentary will help anyone on the inside. It might cause them to double down because they’re so scared of being wrong. They almost certainly will if you share it with them trying to make them look or feel stupid - so be careful with your approach if you want to help a friend. If this series helps people leave an MLM, avoid joining an MLM, or if it helps people take legal action, I think it will have served it’s purpose and done good.
