Overall I knew what to expect before ordering. I expected this thing to be cheap and get the job done. Didn't expect high quality blade form or sharpness like I get with my $500 KME Sharpening system. (to be clear its about 60% as sharp at my KME sharpened knives) Ladies and gentlemen If you're in need of your simple cheap kitchen knives and pocket blades to be sharp once again but don't care about how much metal you're taking off with each pass. And aren't particular with what angle your blades are set at. Feel free to "Get er' done" using the AccuSharp sharpener. It's Quick, Simple, and Easy. As long as you keep a consistant angle and don't wobble. I would suggest you put the sharpener on its back on a hard surface and run the blade at a 85-90 degree angle across the sharpener instead of the sharpener on top since you are guaranteed to wobble. If you wobble you will have a dull end product. Picture included of how I would recommend holding it. Pay attention to the illustration on the blue shield when you have yours in hand. I took a very dull basically butterknife dull steak knife and with just 2 passes medium pressure, It was sharp enough to not rip cardboard. 40 passes later and it cut cardboard relatively cleanly. Another 25 passes ending the last 5 strokes lighter each time and it cuts about 60% as nicely and smoothly as my knives sharpened with the KME system. And in a fraction of the time. We're talking a couple minutes versus hours of meticulous work. For the price and time investment, You cant beat the AccuSharp.
