I never write reviews but felt it so important to chime in on this book. I have been involved in the biological sciences and medicine my entire life, as well as being an educator. The lack of integrity seen in the sciences these days and the media hyping of dubiously interpreted science, as well as politicization of questionable science directly influencing decisions involving whole economies is beyond alarming. However, finding credible information explaining even the basics has been difficult to obtain. This book written by a scientist with impeccable credentials is a great start and hopefully will lift the curtain on the rush to judgment on issues by the press and our politicians that impact all our lives. It is not being a denier to want unfiltered credible information to assess, have meaningful discussions regarding, prior to making economy changing decisions. It is not for others to decide to persuade us to an end conclusion of their choosing. Support of policies by ill informed citizens is not real support. READ the book.
