First off, let me say that I am not a medical professional--just a retired public school teacher. Anyway I go to my family doctor about every six months as I have high bllod pressure and diabetes. Awhile ago he seemed concerned about something called "liver function". Doing research about "liver function" online I discovered that something called silymarin would help my liver clean things out of my body. Since I'm a die hard Amazon shopper I looked it up and discovered this product and ordered some. At my next Dr's visit he was amazed that my "liver function" was so much better. Since taking this milk thistle was the only thing that changed (besides my age) this product seems to be doing what it is advertised to do.
