Add a Little Pizzazz to Your Oral Routine!
So, you're here checking out tongue scrapers. This is the place I found myself in as well. I had always thought that brushing my tongue was adequate, but little did I know the benefits of using an actual scraper. I first learned of tongue scrapers proper from a men's blog, and after reading the article, I set out to purchase one. You may be saying to yourself that they are all equal, it's just a piece of metal right? Nope, you would be incorrect! I did a lot of research before choosing this model, and I'm glad that I did. This scraper by SoulGenie is the one you want. Don't waste your time and hard earned money on things with rubber grips. They will fall apart. It's going in a bathroom after all. With this tongue scraper, you're looking at a product made purely from surgical grade stainless steel. The grips are contoured for grip, and a bit larger than the actual scraper section. It is even able to be sterilized.
Using the scraper is comfortable, it flexes and allows maximum area coverage. I found the stainless steel to be completely free of defects, there were no burrs or any nicks or scratches that could damage the tongue. This is preferable considering what a sensitive part of the body the tongue is. If you've made it this far and you're still wondering what good an actual tongue scraper is, then listen up! First, consider the price. For $7 or $8, you're adding a valuable tool to your oral hygiene routine. And unlike a toothbrush, this isn't something that you'll need to replace. If you take good care of this, I'd see it lasting for years. You'll also help negate bad breath. Kick that bad breath in the face! Getting all that built up gunk off of your tongue really does make a difference. You'll also make your food taste better, and you'll even help your immune system out since the tongue is a line of defense. Using a scraper will help prevent any re-absorption of toxins. One of the things that I noticed after starting to use a scraper is that I could taste food much better, I was actually quite surprised. About the only thing that is difficult with this tongue scraper is finding a place to keep it! It's a bit odd shaped in terms of bathroom gear, so I have been hanging mine on my toothbrush rack. You might have to get creative for storage. Let's go ahead and look at some pros and cons:
Pros:
-Full surgical stainless steel construction
-Contoured grip sections
-Flexible for maximum coverage
Cons:
-Hard to find a place to store it
All in all, I highly recommend a tongue scraper. If you don't choose this one, choose another, just add one to your dental arsenal. This is a great, inexpensive tool to combat bad breath and bacteria build up. I rate this tongue scraper at 5/5 stars and would recommend it to anyone seeking to add a little pizzazz to their oral routine.
