When I purchased my Fitbit Charge HR, I was prompted to buy this warranty by Amazon and I did so carelessly. At some point after over one year of owning my Fitbit Charge HR, it stopped tracking my sleep and heart rate and activities. I contacted Fitbit and went through all the steps they could provide me with but they finally declared that it was probably broken beyond repair and that unfortunately there was nothing they could do about it because it had passed its 1 year warranty period. I remembered that I had purchased this warranty and contacted Asurion (previously known as Canopy Protection) to initiate my claim, cynically thinking that surely there was some fine print somewhere or that they would require my mother's birth certificate and some unicorn hair. Man was I wrong. The agent who handled my case was super friendly and explained to me in a five minutes phone call that all I had to do was to send them back the Fitbit and they'd reimburse me with an Amazon coupon. They emailed me a prepaid mail sticker to drop off my Fitbit at any UPS store. A day after UPS confirmed delivery I get an email with an Amazon voucher for the amount I paid for the fitbit PLUS TAX. They even reimbursed me for the tax I had paid. I'm truly thankful to Asurion for such incredible service. They were super transparent and clear from the start and their service was fast and impeccable. There were no fine prints nor any hidden caveats. I'd highly recommend this product for these electronic devices we live with because God knows how delicate they are and when one decides to die all of a sudden. Thanks Asurion!
