Excellent System For Audiophiles; Others May Be Satisfied With Systems That Are 1/3 The Price
Let’s get the negative point out before we go anywhere else with this review, the Bose Cinemate 15 is expensive. There I said it. $600 is a lot of money to spend on a soundbar with a subwoofer. If you are not an audiophile and are not overly picky with your sound then you can get a lot more features, functions, and similar sound from a system that costs 1/3 the price of this system. Now if you are picky about your sound and crave the best home theater experience in the smallest possible package then this is well worth every penny. The audio reproduction is incredible and the bass is something you can feel not just hear. The setup is incredibly simple and while the subwoofer is very large, the soundbar is small enough to not detract from your living room. The small soundbar is able to project sound in multiple directions so every seat in your living room has a great auditory experience. If you are an audiophile, the Bose Cinemate 15 Home Theater System is simply amazing for its size and ease of setup. *** Positive Points: *** - Incredible Sound and Bass. This is true movie theater sound - Small soundbar is able to project sound all over the room so no matter where you sit it will sound incredible - Subwoofer is incredibly powerful with bass that you feel and not just hear - Setup is very easy, simply connect the soundbar to the subwoofer and then plug in your input - Included universal remote is easy to program and use - Comes with all the accessories you need including batteries and input cables - Made in North America (Mexico) and not China if you are into that sort of thing *** Negative Points: *** - EXPENSIVE - Subwoofer is huge and takes up a lot of space - No Bluetooth, LCD displays, or other features that some of the competition has - The wires are rather thick (2 that connect the subwoofer to the soundbar) and resemble VGA cables - Included remote, though universal, does not have any back light or any other features that suit this price range - Soundbar only has one LED that give you feedback when the power is on and when you are adjusting the volume - You must turn a knob on the subwoofer to adjust the bass, the remote does not allow you to do this
