I'll start off saying I'm a 46 year old woman. I like to think I am pretty handy when it comes to putting things together or repairing things, that being said I felt like the assembly on this table was super easy. The only problem I ran into was the wooden buttons did not want to stay in, so I had to get out the wood glue to secure them. I have read several reviews of people stating that the bottom shelf did not fit properly, they had to wedge, struggle, scratch the legs, trim off, sand down etc. here is the trick which is NOT stated in the instructions. While the table is upside down and you are putting the legs on, do not completely tighten the first 4 screws. This will give the legs some play and you will be able to then just sit the shelf right in. Tighten the screws holding the shelf then go back and completely tighten the first 4 screws (these are the ones up near the table top. Easy peasy, and it's a cute little table!
