Alright, after reading plenty of reviews (I always start with the worst and work my way to the best), I figure that I should put in my two "scents" and provide clarification on some things. Scent: Upon first opening of the box, the scent was OVERWHELMINGLY from the eucalyptus mint bar. However, as that is the Strongest essential oil in all the bars, that was to be expected. This can be solved by either using the mint bar first, as well as leaving all the other bars out to "air out" for an hour if desired. Furthermore, as this is a Natural soap, the scent WILL fade quickly. It is not perfume or cologne. The scent of soap is not meant to last. If you want a lasting scent, then buy a liquid body soap that has synthetic perfumes in it to create a lasting smell. Essential oils (used in this soap for scent) don't last all day. In fact, essential oils begin to fade the minute they are exposed to air, hence why these bar's scent don't last long. It's not an issue of the manufacturer, rather people that complain that the smell doesn't last are basically complaining that this soap doesn't use synthetic scents.... Moisturizing: this is going to be more relative to each user as everyone's skin is different. For me, I found it to be plenty moisturizing. I do not normally use lotions, but I could tell a difference in how soft my skin felt from before to after use of the soap. However, soap is not meant to fully moisturize. If it had enough moisturizers in it, then it wouldn't be soap, it would be a moisturizing bar! Longevity: these bars, depending on how heavily they are used will last 1-2 weeks. As I use these also as my shampoo, they are used more quickly. For natural bar soaps, that is a timeline that is not short-lived, but average to above! Overall: These bar soaps are perfect for someone who is wanting to make a switch to something natural. The scent doesn't last long, but I would rather smell pleasant and natural for an hour than smell like commercial bodywash all day. Made with various oils, essential oils, fats, and abrasives, this soap has left me feeling cleaned, refreshed, moisturized, and happy to start the day!
