I purchased three sets of these socks in three different styles - Mix 2, Snowflake, and Mix 1. As they were all from the same manufacturer I thought they would at least be comparable to each other, but they were all markedly different. The Mix 2 and Mix 1 socks were two pairs of two different styles - one with a zig-zag stripe pattern and one with a more stripey pattern. For the Mix 1 and Mix 2 patterns: The zig-zag stripe pattern socks were thinner and seemed to be comprised of mostly cotton with a fair amount of stretch. However, they did not hold their shape at all and became loose and stretched out quickly while wearing them, which caused them to slip around on my feet. They tightened up after a trip through the washer and dryer. My biggest issue is the threads inside - the stitching for the pattern was very uncomfortable and made the interior of the sock rough and bumpy to the point that they were unpleasant to wear. The fabric was a very rough feeling cotton that was not very pleasant to the touch. The interior toe seam was thick and rough. Also, these socks did not keep my feet warm at all - they were of a loose weave that doesn't hold any heat in. The stripey pattern was thicker and the interior stitching was much better. These socks ran very small, though. There was very, very little stretch to the fabric and I found the neck of the sock to be much tighter than the other sets. The fabric was relatively soft and the interior toe seam was a little scratchy, but not too bad. These were woven tighter and kept my feet a bit warmer. For the Snowflake pattern: The Snowflake set was by far the best. These are made of a thicker fabric that feels like a good wool blend. The interior is very soft and smooth and the toe seam is minimal. These kept my feet nice and warm. There is a decent amount of stretch to these and the socks stayed put as I wore them.
