I bought the small trap for rats that are taking over my patio area. They have been getting into the cat kibble I leave out for my neighborhood cats. So I use that as bait. It's lightweight and doesn't trigger the plate. The trip mechanism is very sensitive and the trap door is heavy and sturdy enough that they cannot get it open again. So far I've trapped two half grown rats, but the trap is plenty big enough to catch full grown rats. I've just ordered a second trap to speed up the process. And since rats tend to move in each rainy season, I'll continue to get good use from them...
