We love this egg cooker for hard boiled eggs. The only caution is that you have to learn by trial and error what it the right amount of water to use. The included little cup isn't much help. I had to make several batches to get the right amount--the increments are VERY small--and now they come out perfect each time. For 4 hardboiled eggs, we found that using the max amount of water (up to the top line--regardless of how many eggs the cup says that it is for) was the right amount to get the yolks cooked through, but still "fluffy." I recommend a) using distilled water, or you get mineral deposits in the metal bottom quickly and they don't come out and b) adding more water to the machine the moment the eggs are finished and you've taken them out--until you can clean the bottom. There is a tiny amount of egg material that comes out when they are cooking and it will burn on the bottom. This little cooker is way faster and easier than boiling on the stove.
