It has worked wonders to keep my seedlings warm in the cool garage until the last of the frost is over. All I used to grow these little guys is a $35 shop light from home depot and this heat mat. My only regret is that I did not get a larger size! Others have complained (as well as my husband) that it does not get super warm. It's not supposed to and you don't want it to. It's supposed to just gently raise the temperature of the soil.
