I have updated this from 3 to 5 stars. Original review: They work as advertised, but it puts out a lot of light. That and the white is harsh in the middle of the night. I taped off the sides and top with black electrical tape and while not the best looking reduces the amount of light to a reasonable amount. My update: The seller immediately contacted me about swapping the light I had ordered for the more "yellow" ones they sell. I turned him down for one reason, what our kids have been able to do with them. When our daughter saw what I had done she told me that is UGLY, no argument from me, and immediately went to my tool bucket and got out the rolls of colored electrical tape and an exact-o-knife. She quickly made three excellent night lights. She turned them into low intensity colorful nightlights. Our son has used model paint to color them with more interesting but less consistent results. I am including pictures of the three my daughter made in 20 minutes. I am leaving out the picture of what I had done because our daughter reused that one for the red/green/yellow light..
