Incredibly fast results and dead rat within 12 hours of placing bait out. The smell entices the rat from a long distance to bait
To our surprise and dismay, we began hearing chewing and rustling within different walls of our home. After a couple of different days of this, we became positively convinced that a rat had managed to enter the wall system of our home.
Being a long avid buyer and researcher upon Amazon, I began researching rat poison. Due to the ratings of this particular product, I purchased some. We were pretty convinced that we only had one rat in our house, but after a couple of weeks of hearing that rat in different rooms, we made the plunge and purchased this poison.
To the best of our knowledge, the rat could not actually enter the interior of our home, as the rat seemed to be confined and stuck within the walls, but that also gave the rat passage to any walls of our home. So I did not believe putting poison or traps within the interior of our home, would be able to have an effect upon the rat that was permanently stuck within the walls, at least up to this point. But since we own a huge double wide mobile home, it seemed logical to me, that the rat entered the home from beneath. So my hope was, that if I could place some rat poison beneath our double wide, within the confines of our skirting, that the rat would eventually find it, and eat it, and die.
The rat poison arrived and it was now time to put our plan into action. Although other reviewers talked about placing whole bars in several different locations, that seemed like overkill to me, since I believed we only had one rat. So I took just one bar of the rat poison, and I cut it in half. Now out of half a bar, I further cut it into three pieces. I took those three small pieces, and placed them just inside the skirting, at three different corners of our home. My hope was that the rat did not permanently live within our walls, but also ventured down to the ground level beneath our home, and would eventually roam around and find the poison, and of course I hoped that it happened to be hungry and would eat the poison.
So now I had three small pieces, beneath our home in three different locations. To our delight, within only 12 hours, we never heard that rat within our walls again. It has now been three months later, and we have had no more critters within the walls of our home. About one week after placing the poison beneath our home, my wife was doing some flowering and planting next to our skirting. She later commented, that she could barely smell the dead rat decomposing beneath our home. But if we were not at ground level right next to the skirting, we were not able to smell the decomposing rat.
So apparently this rat poison smells good enough, that the rat was quickly compelled to pursue this smell to its point of delivery, which was a tasty meal for the nuisance critter. Since the rat disappeared within only 12 hours of placing the poison out, it would appear obvious that the rat ate it quite quickly after placing it under our home. It seems quite likely that there is still additional rat poison left beneath our home, that the rat was not able to eat. How long into the future will it stay toxic, I do not know? Perhaps if we are lucky, it will continue to kill any newcomers that show up within the next six or 12 months. But that is speculation. What I do know, is that it killed our sole rat within 12 hours of placing the poison beneath our home. And we still have 3 ½ bars of this stuff left, that I placed in a Ziploc baggie to keep it fresh, for potential future use.
It worked as perfectly as I had wished for, and I could not ask for anything additional out of this poison that was not already delivered. So therefore in my mind, it gets a perfect five star rating, as I will gladly recommend it to anyone else that is considering it.
