A Must for Polymer Guns.
I shop quite alot at Amazon but actually bought these straight from Talon although I think they cost about the same either way. But to get straight to the point.. I really don't think I'll own another polymer gun without installing the rubber Talon grips. I was really surprised and more than happy with how these things perform and just over all improve your control over the weapon. They feel great on any size frame but they really become a necessity on the smaller single stack 9's and 380's. The more compact you go the less there is to hold on to and the more recoil to control and these things sure make it feel like you've got a better grasp. Not to mention they're affordable, don't add any weight or bulk, still fit all holsters perfectly, stay put (instead of roll up like slip-ons), and they look pretty awesome too. I guess it's pretty obvious I really like them and I think anybody that takes they're time installing them will too. Don't really remember all the instructions but my tips would be... --Field strip down (remove your slide and mag) --Have clean hands and wipe down the frame really good with alcohol (strips off all the oils from your hands and ammo residue) --Start applying carefully as possible getting it dead on straight and lined up, pay close attention to the open hole lining up with the logo on the grip.. --Then just roll it around letting it sort of drop in place (Important! -With out stretching it!) and watching for wrinkles and bubbles.. -- Heat it up with a hair dryer (but no hotter than you can touch) keep pressing it in and heating up and maybe even a "tiny" bit of stretching here and there (while its hot) untill it just how you want it, pressed on best you can, and cooled off with the glue set. --Perfect. Repeat on extended mag. Done. This was kind of long for me but I hope it helps someone out. Love my Talon grips. UPDATE 8/20/16: Still love my Talon grips... I wanted to point something out. Some of the earlier reviews talk of they're grips coming loose and peeling near the bottom of the back strap. I had an early set that developed this problem too and as this was a bit of a problem with a growing amount of people Talon redesigned the grip back just before I originally wrote this review. I honestly don't know the exact date but I believe right around Aug 1st 2015 they began shipping new product. The newer grip wraps from the back strap forward lapping in front just to the left of the trigger guard where as the older grip wrapped from the front back and had a seam right down the middle of the back strap, right where most shooters are applying more pressure, friction and wear with the heel of the hand which would cause this seam to open. The new design is all good and no problems now (for me). Just thought I'd clarify that most reviews before about Aug 2015 are most likely on the older (before redesigned) grip.
