Time travel really is possible, and it's by watching Good Girls Revolt!
I was in college in 1969, and had also worked in an office. This series perfectly captures the period: the music, clothes, hair styles are spot on. The culture of depending on women to do excellent work backing up the men and correcting their mistakes, and then the men getting promoted was prevalent. The importance of Altamonte, and its ramifications for the "peace and love" counterculture was perfectly portrayed: Charles Manson and Altamonte were suckerpunches from which the movement never recovered, and caused great sadness and disillusionment among millions of young people. To hear John Belushi's character continually asking one of the "girls" to get him coffee was very jarring, but then I had to remember that that was "normal" back in the day. One of the slang expressions used seemed off, but perhaps it was an East Coast, West Coast thing....I was West Coast. You must have people my age as "cultural advisors" because all-in-all, the vibe is perfect! PLEASE pick this one up for a full season: I would watch the whole thing right now if it were available.......What a trip down memory lane for me and my cohort!
