This item might appear poorly made at first, but I think it's just the way foam moves around. It is actually very comfortable, although pretty high for an under desk ergo foot rest. There are only 4 small strips of velcro holding the two pieces together, but they seem to be holding up and are easily replacable if ever needed. You can also use the pieces seperatly to vary the height you need. Both sections have zippered rmoveable covers for washing. This item comes partially compressed in a nice zippered bag
