I've had the saw for about 3 weeks now and like it. I've cut about 8 projects (jigsaw puzzles). For the cost I couldn't expect a better scroll saw. Pros: - Easy to setup and use - Inexpensive - Variable speed - Takes both pin and pinless blades Cons: - After the first day, the screws holding the internal fly-wheel fell out and the saw was not operating. Seems like they didn't tighten them enough in the factory. I took the side panel off and screwed them back in (took about 2 minutes to fix). It's been working fine ever since and they haven't come loose again. - Blades aren't very easy to switch out. The bottom part where the blade attaches is mostly covered, so threading the pinless blades down there can take some practice. Recommendations w/ Purchase: - Purchase some good blades like Flying Dutchman or Olsen - Purchase a foot switch - Purchase a blade lubricant stick Overall, if you are looking for a cheaper saw that gets the job done, this is a good choice. I'm a new scrollsawer and my projects already look semi-professional so I'm happy about that. If you are going to do a lot of internal cuts, you might want to consider another saw where blades can be switched easier. This saw works for me though, so I'm still happy with my purchase.
