I used these heavy duty brackets to make bars for a gentleman to use for physical therapy. They are extremely sturdy with 2 1/2” lag bolts into the studs. I used the longer edge against the wall and therefore needed 3 screws on each wall. The 3 holes were tight to access with the lag bolts but with a drill bit extension I made it work. Overall a very sturdy product and will be everything you need for a book shelf!
