A Trail of Fire is a book of four short stories by Diana Gabaldon
This is a book featuring Roger MacKenzie's parents in the first story. Titled "A Leaf on the Wind of All Hallows", so readers will understand Rogers past. The second and third stories are about Lord John Grey. The second book is "The Custom of the Army", the third book is "Lord John and the Plague of the Zombies. They are about part of his life that is not in the seven books by Diana Gabaldon. The forth book is "The Space Between" it is about Michael Murray, Janet's twin, who was mentioned in one of her seven books. They were not main characters. Diana often writes books about characters who are mentioned in other books tying people to families in her big books. This is something I enjoy about her writing. You buy the book because you like her people so much that you enjoy reading more about family members. I Believe anyone who is a Gabaldon fan is interested in her books that are offshoots of her main books. I recommend this book if you are an fan of Gabaldon Gerry Rosenquist
