Let me start off by saying I love Chip and Jo, have seen every episode of Fixer Upper, have traveled to Waco and soaked up every aspect of what they have done there so I really wanted to absolutely love this but it just missed the mark for me. I just received it today and immediately spent an hour flipping through it checking out every recipe. I think I'm a decent cook and I felt like a lot of the recipes were either too basic or just things I've seen before countless times. There are maybe 5-10 recipes that are something new to me. The photography is beautiful, there is a picture for almost every recipe, and I love the little anecdotes throughout, I just think this is more for a beginner cook, or someone that likes to just collect everything Chip and Jo do. I did enjoy the dessert section, there were definitely some beautiful treats that I am looking forward to trying!
