Update as of 6/10/2022: While the first kettle did explode in my hand, customer service was quick to send a replacement and I have been using the new one regularly for about a year now with no malfunctions or spontaneous explosions. For the price, this little kettle can't be beat. It heats up quickly, has a nice aesthetic and a small footprint on the countertop. If I ever break this one, I will definitely buy another. Update as of 6/19/2021: I only got to use this kettle twice before it broke. The first time I used the kettle it worked great. The second time, the handle got so hot I nearly burned myself. The third time I heard a loud pop as it came to boil and then realized the kettle had cracked from the handle outward and was leaking boiling water everywhere... I ordered a replacement and I can only hope it isn't defective like this one is. So far, so good. The kettle arrived intact and works very well. I was able to boil water in 3 minutes, 19 seconds. This is much faster, cheaper, and more efficient than using a kettle on the stove. Because it is glass, the water also tastes better. I could tell the difference in the flavor of my coffee immediately. Perfect for a quick morning cup of tea or pour-over coffee. I've only had this product for one day. I will update my review in a few months regarding the longevity of this kettle.
