Absolutely amazing!
I'm an audiophile of sorts. I love great sound and have high end equipment for my home.
I use headphones though mainly at work for music and private listening without disturbing others. I used the Sennhieser HDR 160 at my desk for years, but they had no microphone to use with my iPhone. Last year, my family gave me a set of JBL E55BTs that were Blurtooth and had the mic. They were really good, but then the left side started to fail.
Looking to replace them, I read reviews on Bluetooth headphones and there seem to be a lot of discussion regarding the Cowin E7s. People raved about them, but then I saw there was an upgraded E7 Pro version and the reviews for those were even more impressive, so I purchased the E7 Pros.
I can easily say the blow away the JBL E55BT and Sennhieser HDR 160 by quite a lot. No question about it.
Sound quality is outstanding. The amount of bass available is abundant and tight. The high frequencies are sweet and not over the top. I find the mids to be just the perfect level for what I like. Sound coloration does not change between lower and higher volumes.
Noise cancellation is astounding to me at work. When I listened to them at home, they seemed somewhat effective, noticeable, but not real strong, but to be honest I didn't know exactly what to expect. I've never had noise cancelling headphones before. However, at work... what an incredibly different experience. With the noise cancelling on, the white noise and air conditioner sound are almost completely eliminated to a stunning degree. I can barely even hear my own voice and have to be careful when I speak so as not to yell. Some of my coworkers tried them and were stunned!
Some reviews have stated that with noise cancelling on, the sound quality of music was degraded. I did not sense anything of the sort. My experience is that it truly cleaned the sound even more as outside noise was eliminated. Even with the noise cancelling on, the bass was still strong with good depth and punch.
The E7 Pros are comfortable, look good, not heavy, and at moderate volume, do not leak sound. You won't disturb others in the office with them, unless you turn them up, but then that's a good reason for them to buy their own pair!
It's unbelievable that headphones of this quality even exist for less than $100!
I very highly recommend the E7 Pro. Skip the standard E7. The Pro is with the extra $$$.
Outstanding job Cowin! Your E7 Pro reflect great credit upon your company and technology!
Few can match the E7 Pro, but cost three times as much, which make them the highest value in the market.
