The Best Money Can Buy!!! Update!!!!
I currently have three sets of Bluedio headphones. The first pair (r+ legend titanium) I bought with great skepticism about a year and a half ago. I figured what the heck, if they don't work or have the features as advertised I'd just return them. They turned out to be the best headphones I had owned up to that point, wired or wireless. A couple months ago, I ordered a pair of Bluedio Air headphones for my wife, and she absolutely loves them. So, enough with the back story lol, I found myself wanting another pair of headphones for home media use. I didn't want to sacrifice any of the r+ sound quality, but wanted a more premium fit and finish, and the UFO''s delivered in both regards. Sound: they deliver very rich, balanced sound at low and high level volume. The R+ are very bass heavy, whereas the emphasis with the UFO''s seems to be balanced mids, highs, and lows. They still deliver plenty of bass, just not at the level of the r+. I found the standard listening mode preferable for music and the 3D really adds an extra "theatre" quality to movies and TV shows. Occasionally, I did still prefer standard, so fortunately it''s a simple button push to switch between the two. Performance: from a full charge I was able to get a little over twenty hours of use, which is the best I've ever experienced with a Bluetooth headset. Time to recharge completely was a little over 3 hours. Bluetooth range is also impressive, I got twenty plus feet in any direction with no loss, and we're talking brick exterior walls and plaster lath interior! Pairing was also a breeze. Design and Comfort: these headphones truly do shine in the design department. The Ti alloy is light but feels very sturdy. The ear cups swivel individually to provide an excellent seal against outside noise. The padding on the headband and ear pieces is very forgiving, so much so that I didn't feel the need to take them off or adjust them during multiple hour uses. This truly impressed me since they are by no means light. The overall fit and finish is every bit as good if not better than sets costing more than double the price. If you've looked at beats, bose, sennheiser, and so on you'd do yourself a favor and save a couple hundred bucks in the process by giving these a shot. Service: I contacted customer service on a few occasions with general use questions and Cassie at bluedio always responded promptly and courteously. And yes, firmware is actually available if you should need it. You have to request it from bluedio directly though and as others have stated the instructions for upgrading are kind of vague, but if you've got a bit of know how and patience it's not that hard to figure out. I hope this review is helpful. With so many products to choose from on amazon I've come to rely on customer reviews more than anything else. If you have any questions that aren't answered in the review, please feel free to ask. Also, if you found this review to be helpful, please indicate so. It helps encourage me to continue submitting lol! Update: After months of daily use my UFO's are performing as well as the day I bought them! You can't beat the value of these headphones.
