My sister is using these to drill beach glass for jewelery. She submerses the glass in water and drills away. They work great. ***EDIT**** I want to add a comment on to this review. A trick we learned along the way for submerging the glass was to take a small bowl, put a sponge in it, and fill the bowl up with enough water to soak the sponge. Set the piece of sea glass on the sponge and begin drilling. Make sure you have enough water to cover the glass and keep the tip of the drill bit wet. The sponge will not only act to keep the drill bit moisturized, it will also hold the glass in place while you drill!
