I LOVE this dress!!! I bought it for a formal gala event and couldn't go 5 steps without someone complimenting me. Pretty impressive considering this event was full of high dollar designer gowns! I put a black petticoat under it for a little pop and it was perfection! If you go by the size chart it should fit. I wear a 14 and the XL was perfect. I agree with another reviewer who said it is an empire waist-it is so if that's not what you want then this dress isn't what you want. But if it is, buy 3! I will be buying more. Without the petticoat the dress is great for work or more casual wear.
