I love the shorter container and that it is glass and not plastic. I like the separate heating elements to make soup super fast. I appreciate the delayed timer but don't really have a use for it. I will also note that the reviews about melting while making nut milks were a moot point with me cause I don't make nut milks...I didn't notice any issue making soups. This is a powerful unit and makes nut butters as well as my vita mix. I think for the price it rivals vita mix and because of that it is a fraction of the cost and an exceptional value.
