I purchased this seat to replace the incredibly small stock seat that came with my Trek 4300. The seat comes with its own side bearing clamps, which can be removed to fit a rail-clamp mount. Now everyone's been saying they were having trouble mounting the seat on a rail-clamp, saying it was too wide, and I thought "pffft, no way, not me". Well guess, what. It didn't fit. Great. Fortunately, I happened to have tools that allowed me to squeeze the the rails closer together, but it. was. difficult. It was well worth it however, it feels great, makes riding over bumps and such wonderful, and I fully recommend this seat to anyone wanting to get it, just be warned: if you got a rail mount, industrial elbow grease may be required.
