Not only do I have severe asthma, I also have a really strong PTSD response to my mouth and face being covered. I've literally not left the house in a couple of months because I couldn't tolerate a mask for more than 5 minutes at a time. This bracket is AMAZING. It's soft and comfortable. No need to sew it in or anything - the mask holds it in place and it actually grips to my face lightly since it's silicone. No, it does not go down over my chin - just over my mouth and nose, but it's whatever... it's comfortable that way. I could see why someone would get irritated if they were trying to fit their chin in there too, but just let the thing rest above your mouth and nose and don't keep trying to cover your chin. Right out of the gate, I popped it in my fabric mask and I've been wearing it at home as a trial for over 2 hours now, NO ISSUE AT ALL. I can breathe fine, no elevated heart rate, no sweating, NO PANIC!!!! I even had a bit of a coughing spell and didn't even have to remove the mask to inhale air. Without fabric physically touching my mouth, I felt I could air in... Granted it's WARM air, but I don't feel like I'm suffocating or dying trying to wear a mask anymore. Thank you thank you thank you! I would've paid twice as much for this kind of relief.
