Two months ago, my dog was almost killed by a Smart Car. I was humiliated. Let's start from the beginning. My dog - who will henceforth be referred to as "Houdini" - could escape anything. I bought several leashes and harnesses, all touted as "escape proof", and she walked out of them with the ease and confidence of my dad, twenty years ago, when he walked out of our front door (and our lives) to "buy cigarettes". The last straw was the night Houdini escaped from my hands and immediately got hit by a Smart Car. She was fine, as I'm pretty sure those cars are made out of compost. But Houdini was understandably embarrassed at the prospect of dying at the hands of a street legal children's toy. So I bought this leash and tested it out by bringing her to her arch nemesis: the water hose. Houdini felt confident and attempted one of her usual "f*** this s*** I'm out" Jujitsu maneuvers, only to find out they would no longer work. She looked at me square in the eyes with the fear of a veteran experiencing a Vietnam flashback, before sinking her head in defeat. She can no longer escape. Her glory days are over. And because her escaping is no longer a concern, I can now go back to my regularly scheduled anxiety about everything else in my life. Anyway, you should buy this. Your dog won't be able to get out of it.
