Really great clothesline, with one caveat. If you have CLAY SOIL, be sure to soften up the ground before you attempt to install the support bracket. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and our soil dries rock solid in the summer time. We had a hard rain 2 days before the clothesline arrived, and it was still a chore to sink the bracket. We used a steel mallet and a 2"X4" board wrapped in an old towel to keep from shattering the board. Also, be sure to level the bracket as you go. Make sure that it is VERTICALLY LEVEL on 2 sides to ensure that it is perfectly upright; otherwise, the clothesline will lean once you put it into the bracket. Take care not to knock dirt or gravel into the bracket hole during installation. This will interfere with the smooth rotation of the pole. Once the bracket is in the ground, the clothesline is fully assembled & ready to pop in. The blue plastic zip tie that is used during packaging is meant to be kept so that you can use it again when you want to tie up the lines. The red cap that is used to plug the bracket when the clothesline is removed can be hung on the line until you need it. Very handy & very efficient. I also appreciate that the clothesline was not over-packaged. I've used it once to hang 2 loads of laundry out at the same time, and it was a snap. There is enough room between the lines to dry everything at the same time; the clothespins stayed on well; and the rotation was smooth & easy. I really love the updated sleek look of this clothesline. As far as its strength & construction, it is lightweight, but well designed. For hanging heavy blankets, I'd recommend lowering the arms to level & placing the blanket across the top. Wet towels, teeshirts & work pants were fine when I hung the load. It is worthwhile to note that the clothesline is manufactured in Lithuania, but sold & shipped by Amazon.com. I placed my order on 25 April; it arrived 2 days later on 27 April. So, shipping & delivery are fast!
