As there are many many many many diffusers to choose from let me single out what is so special about this diffuser to me and hopefully save you some time. 1. It is very quiet! Now there is a very mild hum to it and you can every now and then hear the trinkle of water inside but the diffuser is amazingly quiet to sleep with all night.(Personally felt the lights were too bright for me to sleep with on but with them off, you truly don't even know it is on) 2. There is a beautiful little stream of steam that comes from the top and it is visible. It is pretty faint but it is there and of course a lot more noticible at night. 3. The tank holds so much water, I know no one really knows when it comes to diffusers how much is a good amount when you are buying for the first time so, let me tell you when filled up all the way to the max line it lasted 7-8 hours running all night. 4. Immediately after dropping oils into the water and covering the tank you can smell the oils. The diffuser disperses the oils very far, as I have a lofted bedroom and you could easily smell the oils downstairs. 5. Extremely easy to set up and manage. Opened box, plugged in, filled with tap water to max line, dropped in drops (I have only put 3-4 at a time and it has been plenty for us for over many hours), then covered tank. All done! I recevied the diffuser yesterday with some starter oils, I've also never used before, and I am extremely impressed with this diffuser over all. It has some beautiful array of colors it slides through, when you push the light button you can fixate on only one. The only thing I haven't received any information on is the 'intermittent mist mode." I will have to test out what this entails, as the instructions didn't specify. Other than that I have no argument or disaggreement with this diffuser being the best out there. It feels solid and sturdy, even the material inside has a shield to cover the bouncing water, which is nice because there aren't a lot of pieces to mess with when filling and refilling. Just the top cover and the bottom tank. It's awesome.
