Getting my cats into this and taking them out at the vet's is so much easier than even the top-open carriers! I put a little fleece bed in it and leave it out for them to sleep in (sprayed some catnip and feliway in it), they love it and it's easy to pick them up, place them in and shut the door. Taking them out at the vet is so much simpler, no dragging them out or lifting them up. It holds my big 15 lb cats just fine, they can sit in it comfortably. They don't have room to really stand up and walk around a bunch but that's good, it's easier to carry it if they're sitting/laying down and it's not as long as other carriers so it fits on my car's seats better. Plus I like that the top latches are secure and the handle is on the body of the carrier - two people in my neighborhood have lost their pets at the vet in the last six months, the carrier broke open on one of the cats as they were leaving the vet, neither has found their sick pets. :( This also folds up small and flat for storage, I've bought two and plan to buy another so I have one for each cat in case of evacuating for a hurricane or other emergency.
