Highly Recommended - Cheap, High Quality, Easy Installation
Rating: 5/5
Introduction:
This is my first tempered glass screen protector and my third Tech Armor product. I was very excited when I first ordered this product, already owning a regular HD screen protector on both my iPad and my old iPhone 5, I was highly impressed with the quality of the product, without any hesitation I ordered a tempered glass screen protector for around $12. My screen protector arrived on time ( I preordered this). And I installed it 3 weeks later when my iPhone 6 Plus arrived. Do not buy this screen protector if you use a case which as a built in screen protector (OtterBox Defender or Lifeproof) your touchscreen will not respond will with an additional screen protector (based on past experiences with regular screen protectors). This is a one time use tempered screen protector. Although, Tech Armor Lifetime Warranty states that it will replace your screen protector if it is not installed correctly (Mine was installed flawlessly). They also offer a 30 day money back guarantee if you are not completely pleased.
Installation Instructions:
When opening the package, everything was packaged securely and everything was branded with logos nicely. See the picture attached for before I installed the screen protector. Please sit down in a comfortable place when installation and install on a flat surface. Turn your phone OFF so you have a blank screen to work with you don’t want a random notification distracting you. When installing wipe with the cleaning wipe, it is safe to put it on your screen, it is dryer than you might think it is. Wipe the whole screen thoroughly with the microfiber cloth. For additional cleaning use the included dust tape, by holding one end of the tape as you stick the other side to your phone screen. DO NOT touch your phone when doing this, you do not want hand oils/fingerprints. Once you have cleaned the screen pick the screen protector up. There should be a green pull tab, this is the sticky side which will go face down on the phone screen. Before peeling, I placed the screen protector in the desired position, and tried practicing putting it down. HINT: It might help if you bring your elbows into your chest for more stability, but this is up to you. This is a one time use screen protector, please do not mess it up, although you can remove the screen protector it will be difficult when it is fully applied. Once you are ready to peel, place your fingertips on the edges of the screen protector. I recommend starting on the top and aligning the front facing camera with hole in the screen protector. If you misalign the top portion, now would be the time to fix it. Remember always keep your fingertips on the edges on the screen protector. Once the top is properly aligned, slowly align the bottom portion. Let go of the screen protector, lightly tap the center of the screen protector, to push adhesive side into place. Then run your finger from the top of your phone to the bottom (Staying center). Same for left and right. This will remove any large air bubbles. If any small air bubbles remain, just wrap the microfiber cloth around the edge of the included squeegee and push the air bubbles to the edge. Once all air bubbles are out, gently wipe the whole front display with the microfiber cloth and then you’re done.
My Review:
I always struggled with traditional screen protectors, I would always get air bubbles and would take me at least 10 minutes to remove the tiniest air bubbles. When I installed this, I saw the air bubbles remove themselves without me touching the screen. That was a true WOW moment for me, never have I experienced that. I just had a small air bubble near my home button which i was just able to remove with my finger in 2 seconds. The actual glass screen protector is as smooth as the phone screen. And when Tech Armor states 99.99% clarity, it looks like a 100%, this is the clearest I have ever seen a phone with a screen protector on top. Reading the other reviews, reviewers have made comments that the screen protector does not cover the entire screen. This actually does not bother me, with that additional open space on the screen, I am sure that I can slip on any case without it touching the screen protector. And I can easily unlock my phone with the Touch-ID Home button without any interference from the screen protector. Yes, you will feel the thickness but it doesn't bother me too much, and I can actually locate my home button quicker, without looking at my phone. Since this a tempered glass screen protector if you drop your phone and your screen protector cracks (since it is made out of glass) it will stay shattered to the screen. If you need to remove the screen protector, take the squeegee or a credit card and starting in a corner slip it under the screen protector and push down towards the screen, it should pull up and you can peel it off. I highly recommend this screen protector, for the price of $10-$12 it is the cheapest, high quality tempered glass screen protector I have seen to date.
