Be aware that Honeywell markets this particular model through the HVAC dealer channel. As such, Honeywell indicates this is intended to be installed by an "HVAC professional", not an end user. With that said, I was told in an email response from Honeywell customer service that there are no feature or capabilities differences between the two models. The internal installation docs are slightly different (more hand holding on the retail version). Also, the retail version comes with a 1 year warranty. This has a 5 year warranty. Be aware that Honeywell customer service will not answer ANY questions regarding this unit from a consumer. (I tried.) The unit looks and works great. The setup and programming is much easier than my previous Honeywell digital, non wifi unit and setting it via the internet is painless and quick. Be aware that if you don't have a "common wire" available, installation gets more complex in a hurry. I ended up having it installed because of some non-standard work arounds by a previous AC contractor, so I don't blame that on the unit or documentation. If the wiring had been typical and a C-wire had been present, it would have been very easy to install. You'll also find YouTube videos on installation of this unit that are helpful. Regarding this vendor, when I had installation questions and Honeywell wouldn't help, I attempted to contact the seller. There is no phone number either on Amazon or on their direct website. I reached out to them via Amazon messaging, through their website form and via email. In all cases, I requested a phone call since it wasn't practical to explain the questions in writing. I received one (prompt) response from the three methods asking "what the question was". I responded that I'd like to talk with someone. No phone call or other follow up was ever received. Be aware that you will apparently not be able to speak with anyone from this vendor. Product: 5 stars. Vendor: 2 stars (because it arrived promptly and was correct, big mark down for refusal to call me).
