I'd give 5 stars, but my left sock has a hole in it along the outside of the foot. I'm not too concerned because I'll just sew it shut later. But, I'm a size 18 and 5'3", and my thighs are 22" in circumference where these socks go up to, which is about a third way up my thigh. It's a little tight where the hem is but it's not uncomfortable. My calves are 19" and these socks had no problems getting up my legs. They're a thick knit and despite the stretch have stayed opaque. Super warm and super comfy!
