We bought two these bowls, one pink and one lavender, for use as food bowls for our rather large dogs. They were advertised as water bowls but are fine for food as well. the main reason we chose them was because the interior was rounded rather than having a sharp angle where the side met the bottom of the bowl, making it hard for dogs or dishcloths to get the food out of that angle. Also, the bowls have some weight and a non-skid base so the dogs can't push them round easily. They have two layers with airspace between, like a thermos, so that food or water holds its temperature longer. Being made of stainless steel they are unbreakable, and the band of color looks sophisticated and attractive on the kitchen floor. They come in assorted colors and sizes to suit any animal I recommend them unconditionally.
