Seven months ago, I started having weird pain(s) after a 10-day course of extremely strong antibiotics for a burst/bloody eardrum. First both hips started burning and hurting, then I had major pelvic pain in the lower right quadrant. Then, I was waking at 4:00 a.m. with major lower back pain, which progressed to severe pain down the flank of my right leg (felt like sciatica). I was losing strength in the leg and starting to limp. Weird symptoms, and I was scared to death I had ovarian cancer. Four MRI's later, they send me home with a diagnosis of IBS and "good luck." So, I started connecting the dots to the onset of symptoms with the antibiotics,. Further research led me to believe I had some type of systemic candida infection that was inflaming my gut to the point it was pressing on nerves in my spine causing the lower back pain (lower spine, not kidneys) and leg pain. Because of the excellent reviews on many sites (not just Amazon) for Formula SF722, I purchased it and Thorne's Bacillus Coagulans and started taking SEVEN DAYS AGO. After seven months of pain and agony, within SEVEN DAYS of taking these two supplements, I am pain free and sleeping until the alarm goes off. I cannot believe that modern medicine washed their hands of me, and this has fixed what the Drs. couldn't. I will be ordering more for months until I am certain that my gut is back in proper working order. If anyone else has these symptoms due to antibiotic use, please try both of these together to see if they help you, too. UPDATE 4/13/2017: I have taken these for 2-3 months at a time, several times, find that I am "cured" (total alleviation of IBS symptoms) and quit taking them. (They are expensive). Withen 3 weeks the pain and symptoms return. This has happened twice. I now know that I must take these for at least a year to see if they solve my candida/pain problem for good. I will do that, without interruption, and then see if there is a total cure. Two-three months of symptom alleviation does not mean you are cured. Thank goodness for this product. It works miracles for me.
