We were looking for something to curb our nearly four year old son from walking out into the backyard without asking us first. I didn't want to lock the door, I wanted him to learn the lesson that he needs to communicate his wants/needs to us when we tell him to. This did the trick. Very loud, very effective, and no more sneaking out without us knowing about it.
