good repair for car seat
I used this to repair a tear in the leather seat of my Chevy Tahoe. The tear was about an inch and a half long, and deep enough to see the foam padding underneath the leather. You use the guidelines to mix the color as close as possible. It took a while to figure out exactly what to do, but it turned out to be quite simple. The only trouble I had was the last step using the round little tool that comes in the kit. You're supposed to heat the tool on an iron for 5 minutes, then rub the heated little round end of the tool over the compound to heat cure it. I tried several times, but it wouldn't work- just not hot enough. Finally, I plugged in my curling iron and heated it up, unplugged it and ran the barrel of my curling iron over the repair and it worked perfectly! Use a curling iron- it's soooo much easier!! It was a great, cheap fix for an older vehicle. Not perfect- but no one would know it was torn.
