I am 5'4" and weigh about 185 pounds. I ordered an xl and it fit perfectly. I bought it for a wedding in Iceland and will be able to wear leggings under it. (The wedding is small and a little more casual. It will be at "The Little Black Church" late May) The arms are a tad snug but not uncomfortable on me. I like that the sleeves start to bell above the elbow. It is very comfortable and lays well over the hips. (Doesn't show my rolls). It feels well made for the money! Love it! I came back in to add that I have already worn this dress twice! Once to chaperone a prom and again in Iceland for that wedding. I have washed it in cold water on gentle cycle and hung it to dry. Good as new! Must be the best fifty bucks I ever spent!
