I used Winsor Newton masking fluid today for the first time and it was remarkably better than the Pebeo masking fluid I used in the past. More fluid and easier to apply. I read in a review of this product that it is best to wet the application brush (of your choice) and soap it up before using with this product in an effort to preserve your brush. I was skeptical that it would make much difference but in fact it worked like a charm!! The brush cleaned up easily and doesnt show any effects from the masking fluid. It doesn't take much soap to work either. I just wet the brush and then rubbed it on a bar of soap. It was slippery but not sudsy. I am very happy. I still wouldnt use yoir best brush for this. I used it to mask the whiskers on my painting of my cat. I started this painting without the fluid and it got to be too painstaking. I am excited to finish this painting now that I won't be so restricted. I will post the results when I finish.
