Great radiant sauna
When I bought the sauna, there were zero reviews, so I wanted to take a minute to give my experience after having used it for a few weeks now. 1. 100% electric/radiant heat: I selected this sauna over the options in no small part because it's completely plug n play. There's no water reservoir or steam to fool with. I didn't want to have to deal with any of that. 2. Ease of storage: plenty of the other units seemed difficult to set up and break down. This unit folds up easily for storage. This was a must for me. 3. Heats up quickly: With the cover, the unit usually gets up to 140 within 10-12 min. 4. Size: I'm 6'3. I saw another reviewer mentioning that their knees were touching, which doesn't make sense to me unless they're not using the bracing bar that goes across the unit. I don't usually even use that one and I have plenty of space. The chair that comes with it is perfectly sturdy as well. 4. Heat retention during use: my experience is that in order to keep the unit at 140, you have to turn the foot pad on as well. If you don't, I've found that I can only keep temps at 130 - 135. With the foot pad, I can hold 140 for the entire session. I usually wrap a towel around my neck to prevent heat loss as well. If you're opening the hand vents a lot, then you're also going to lose some heat that way. I purchased this primarily for heat adaptation training for outdoor racing, but have also really enjoyed the other benefits that have come along with it. If I do a session in the evening, it greatly helps my sleep quality. Other anecdotal benefits appear to be improvement in skin appearance, detoxification, and perhaps even body composition. It's obviously a little strange looking, and it feels a little awkward to use, but I've been extremely happy with it.
