Budget friendly
This is a budget friendly stroller wagon, it is only $150, half the price of anything else on the market. For $150 you don’t get $300 worth of features. So I’m going to review what you do and don’t get. The diameter of the wheels in this wagon are the same as the other brands. What isn’t the same is the width of the wheels and that does show in the push. You will want to have the child ride over the large wheels. Or if 2 kids are riding put the bigger child over the larger wheels. This stroller has a steel frame. That makes for quite a sturdy ride, but it is heavy to lift. Even the poles for the canopy are steel so no worry that you’ll break them. The wagon itself though is entirely cloth, there is no frame on the sides of the wagon like other wagons. This makes for a smaller fold, by half. Like the non convertible version this wagon folds small enough to fit (except the wheels) under the bench seat of a large van or behind the 3rd row of some small to mid size SUV, something you could never do with a competitor. The canopy itself is a snap open frame, not a metal frame. Yes, less sturdy, BUT without a frame it folds smaller AND you can fold the wagon with it on which is very convenient. It attaches to the poles with an easy snap. When off it rolls up instantly and can be stored in the elastic pouch on the back of the wagon. The canopy poles retract with just the push of a button. The canopy is only a top piece though so only works well when the sun is high in the sky. But you could always drape a blanket over the side. The body of the wagon is also the same size as the other ones available. EXCEPT the height. The sides of this wagon are very low, 3” lower than the closest competitor. 3” doesn’t sound like a lot but it is. For kids under 18 months they’ll going to prefer this because they will be able to see a lot better. 2 kids side by side (the wagon is not intended for this and has only 1 harness per side) or 1 bigger kid are going to have a lot more elbow room because of the lower sides. But, you absolutely must buckle kids in this because the sides are that low. It includes 1 harness on each side that is fully adjustable. I’m including a picture of a small, just turned 1 yr old child to compare to the height of the sides. The body of the wagon also has the zip down side like their non convertible wagon. This is great for parades, outdoor movies, etc. I fit 3 kids side by side on the bench comfortably. Though, it feels like the back (side when using as a wagon) is even lower than on their non convertible wagon which makes for a low back to lean on when used as a bench. For reference it is 9” high. The convertible to stroller part of this is that it includes a push handle and brakes. The handle is foam covered, a not very sturdy foam as mine ripped before I even used it. It is adjustable down to fold, straight up or 3 other positions including low enough for a child to push. It easily adjusts with the push of buttons on the sides. However, I am only 5’5” yet when I have it adjusted to my comfort I sometimes kick the brake. It does still have a pull handle too. On the non convertible one a magnet holds it up when not in use so you have to put it up to the magnet. This one features a spring so as soon as you let go it stays up. This is much more convenient but not sure if the spring will wear out with time. On the pull side it features 2 cloth cup holders, they won’t hold a wide water bottle but will hold the average water bottle. The other side features an elastic top pocket, it will not hold a diaper bag but will hold the canopy, maybe a blanket or jacket, your wallet or phone, first aid kit, etc. So there is a definite lack of storage. If you have a small budget, a smaller child, or a smaller trunk this is definitely the stroller wagon you need. This is not going to easily push at the 120 lb weight limit. When I was getting up toward 100 it was rough and took proper positioning of the kids. But at higher weights you can still push it. You’ll also need to carry your diaper bag or put it in with the child. But at a parade or outdoor movie this is going to save you having to carry chairs for 3 kids. Hopefully Radio Flyer will have the option of their off road wheels or their bag/basket for this in the future.
