Great hydration pack with accessory pockets. I love the size for day hikes but know you will not be able to pack for the Pacific Rim trail (or even school realistically) with this baby. Has enough room for lunch for two and a few supplies but your girlfriend is going to have to carry the portable firepit. Like the deployable rain fly and emergency whistle for those "caught with pants down" moments. Padded in thoughtful areas in case you aren't. Waist strap helps keep pack in place for running from cougars, actual or implied. Reflective strips help bears find you in low light conditions. Bite valve requires a full mouth commitment so choose hiking partners carefully!
