pretty good but will need xtra items and fabrication, naturally.
Ok, so im gunna be the first to review this item since nobody has and it needs to be told if you on the fence. also what needs to be done to my car (89 camaro 355 tpi) so the order i paid 766 out of the door for the 10 pc kit. shipment came 3 days EARLY which is good as i was excited and have been eyeballing for a while and doing some research about the items that it included. so the big items first. 1.the header/log manifold/crosover,these came with composit gaskets and all that i need the header looks exactly the same as my shorty header that is on now but ther flanges are way thick and the welds are pretty good and inspecting with a scope on the inside there is minimal to no splatter on the inside. the log is of the same quality and i am pleased with it. now the crossover, on inspection i noticed that there is no sleeve to be able to weld the crosover to the log manifold, which can be fixed for 2.50 connector from autozone and a welder and this is where it gets tricky. on of the bolts on the collector is soooooo close to the crossover that i either need to cut and redo or find a smaller bolt that will clear the pipe. not too big of a deal just something that needs to be addressed before i put this on my car. on top of some bolts missing for this and the turbo which kinda sucks but not too bad 2. the turbo. holy crap!!! huge!!!!!! and from dna motoring so hmmmm. at about 30 lbs this thing is a monster and huge in comparison to the turbo i pulled from a ford diesel a while back to put in my engine bay but it should be fine with some brace points going to the head to make sure it doesnt ruin the log manifold. it spins freely and has no in-out play or side to side now the inlet is wayyy huge and you need a 3 inch to 2.5 inch silicone to make it fit and connect to the charge pipe. these are not included and you will need at least 3 (2 for the 3 inch inlet/outlet for the intercooler and 1 for the turbo . the turbo is decent looking and has sanding on the cast marks inside and out which is a relief Also this thing is a true twinscroll turbo so it should theoretically spool nice and still give some decent power in the higher rev range and with my engine only able to provide power to about 5200 rpm this should work nicely. the v band will need a step down to a 3 inch pipe to connect to the tubo but it is thicker than v bands iv bought before and will work nicely. 3. the intercooler is the exact demensions that was provided so this will fit into my front clip nicey. it is made by jdm power but who cares it works the same and is good quality with no bent fins and clean welds.. the inlet outlet like i said earlier is 3 inch. so the coupling is a must as the kit only comes with 2.5 inch. the piping comes with everything listed and more than enough to cut and paste to my car and have some room for error and it is decent thickness and no dents. the couplers and bands are of the quality that you want, thick silicone with reinforcements. 4. Wastegate. bulky and decent quality looks exactly like the tial i purchased for the previous build in and out and for this build i am using all that was included in the kit to do a proper review. come with all necessary for installation only issue is i have to find bolts to sandwich the flange and fire ring to the log manifold. 5. the BOV is a greddy style that i purchased before and will work well and comes with the pipe to connect to the charge pipe and has good welds and fits the BOV perfectly. 6 oil lines. since i have an oil system that goes to 60 psig on a cold start i will not be using the restrictor that is included nothing really i can use on the oil lines and i had to purchase the oil hardware elsewhere to make it connect to a feed line and a 5/8th return for 25 bucks shipped 7. the filter is 3 inches and will need a stepdown silicone and CAI pipe or unused piping from the kit. no biggie. so all in all to get this in my camaro i needed to delete the ac box on the firewall and ac condenser and get a pulley delete from a 6cyl s10 from pick n pull and get a small starter to clear the crossover. and totally gut the front clip to fit the IC and relocate the battery somewhere to get the charge pipe in and around the engine bay. im pretty pleased with the quality included. what you need to expect is the need to have some backyard fab skills to get the items listed above to fit and make work as it should. but give it a shot why not its only 766 for all of this. updates will be made and videos will be uploaded of install review and startup and driving hope thi helps
