I’m the daughter of a car-guy who married a sort-of-car-guy. One thing about car guys is your garage and tools look as good as your cars. So it has bugged me for years that my husband thinks the oil stain in the driveway is uncleanable to the point he won’t even try - that’s cause for divorce in my daddy’s book! I gave up on my husband and took it upon myself to tackle the driveway stains. For the big stain that still gets leaked on from our ‘67 El Camino currently being restored, I started off with kitty liter for 24 hours making sure to grind it in and add more if it looked wet. Next day I swept it up, wet the surface with the hose then applied undiluted Oil Eater using a nylon scrub brush to really get it in, without even scrubbing you could see the oil lifting off! I let it sit for 15 minutes and WOW!! I wish I took before/after pictures because the results were incredible! Because the stain was so old, there were still some areas that needed a second application. The second time I let it sit a little longer (I lost track of time), hosed it down and the concrete looks like it never had a years-old nasty oil stain! I’m more then impressed- can’t wait til the hubs gets home, he’s gonna get a round of I-told-you-so’s and it’s better it comes from me then his fathers-in-law 🤣
